Privacy policy

Canada Citizenship Prep EN/FR is a study app. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not collect any data. The app does not connect to any server of ours or anyone else’s.

What stays on your device

Your answers, practice tests, flashcard reviews, progress, settings (province, languages, test date), the optional postal code and the test result you may record after your test are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Links that open in Safari

Some buttons open a web page in Safari: the free study guide on canada.ca, and the House of Commons member search on ourcommons.ca. “Find my MP” puts your postal code in that page’s address so the search is done for you. Those sites are run by the Government of Canada and the House of Commons under their own privacy policies; the app sends nothing to us.

Problem reports

“Report a problem” opens your own mail app with a message to us that already names the question and the content version. Nothing is sent unless you send that e-mail. If you do, we receive it like any e-mail, with your e-mail address, and use it only to answer you and fix the question. We delete these e-mails within twelve months.

Children

The app is meant for adults preparing for the citizenship test. It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. If a later version ever collected data, it would say so in the app and in its App Store privacy details first.
